Description of Enhanced SEO: Victorinox Fibrox Pro 12-inch Slicing Knife with Granton Blade

Long and narrow in shape, with a razor sharp edge designed for maximum cutting performance, this knife is suited for slicing everything from meats, to cakes, to sandwiches. The Granton blade creates pockets of air, which prevent food from sticking to the blade and creates less friction, allowing for easier motion and higher efficiency. Highly Recommended by a leading gourmet consumer magazine that features unbiased ratings and reviews of cookware and kitchen equipment. Expertly crafted in Switzerland since 1884; designed for professionals who use knives all day, every day; lifetime warranty against defects in material and workmanship. Please NOTE that this item ships with the item number 5.4723.30 on the blade and not 40645, 47645, or 47645.US2, but is the same 12" Fibrox Pro Slicing Knife

A fantastic tool for those serious about cooking

I wanted a pro, specific cutting knife for my cooking tool set. It is wonderful. It's beautiful, with a thin blade and a handy black plastic handle. The handle feels nice - not cheap plastic - and holds up well. The blade is well shaped, flexible and is Victorinox branded (Victorinox actually started making knives before the watch and I have an amazing Victorinox watch). This knife cuts meat and fish very, very thin. The shells on the blade are just the right size and indentation. The knife…

Love it! Victorinox Fibrox Pro 12 " Paring Knife with Granton Blade

This 12" knife came at the same speed as all other products from myPrime. About the knife? I LOVE HIM! The 12" is actually quite long, but that's exactly what I needed it for. Sometimes I can be a bit frugal, so if I can get large chunks of meat, I buy them and cut them into the individual pieces I want. Given the The size, strength and sheer sharpness of this knife this has to be the fastest I've ever made which is about twice the amount of meat I normally cut at once The handle doesn't really

INCREDIBLE KNIFE among carving knives

, i received the goods. On time as promised (thanks Revain). I unpacked the knife, washed it and got the first impression: too long and the handle is of poor quality. Then I noticed that it is well balanced, the handle ( with a slightly rough surface) provides excellent grip even when wet, and the blade was a bit more flexible than my other knives. Now for the testing. I sliced thinly (and I mean THIN) lime, orange, onion, carrot (yes, I'm crazy) and then moved on to ham and salami. In short…

Cons
  • , expensive insurance

Better than expected!

I've looked on the internet for a long time. I'm a knife snob who carries pocket knives that cost about the same as a good smartphone, so I'm particularly picky about blade steel, handle material, construction, etc. I recently bought this knife as a birthday present for a friend who started using the Smoking/grilling and large cuts of meat. I chose solely based on brand and reviews and not based on price and looks. Because let's face it, it's a very simple design, it's not "supersteel" and it's

Like a hot knife through butter.

The knife arrived in a large clear plastic case which is not very convenient to store. So I have to work on that detail. But actually that's not a criticism of the knife. This knife came out of the box sharp as a razor blade. The handle is textured and I think it offers a secure grip even with wet or slippery hands. The handle can be a little short, but that's a nitpick and I don't think it's a big issue. The blade is thin and I've used it twice at a time to see how well it cuts: first to cut…
