We got 2 of these for our dogs and have been using them for about a week. The perimeter setting wasn't intuitive, but with the help of the manual we had success and tested it every day before putting it on the dogs. However yesterday one of my dogs was sitting in the yard within the perimeter (having put it on over an hour ago) and suddenly the collar started beeping. He jumped up and ran to our barn (where he likes to hide, even inside the fence) and then we heard him yell out because he was electrocuted. We ran to get it from him. Now the barn has a metal roof, so it's possible he was electrocuted because of that, but there was no reason for him to page at all while he was in the yard. We returned both devices because we found unreliable device behavior. I can't even imagine what would have happened if we hadn't been home :(
