Improvement after installing the kit

So, my first review of the product. I have read all the current reviews below 5 stars. Viewed dozens of videos on YouTube. Here are some comments. In the kit, the crystal ball is replaced by a flat lever. All details fit. One must be very careful when removing old parts. My sleeve and tip were "welded" with snow-white minerals. I sprayed mine with silicone WD-40 3-4 times a day for three days. I had a dremel ready to cut it off but because of the wetness it popped out right away. I also bought the "reversible" ball mentioned in many reviews, just in case. I took a chance and used a new ball from the kit and installed it per the instructions with the "big" hole facing down. The water switched places: hot on the right and cold on the left. Then I took the ball out of the kit and just put the big hole up and that completely solved the problem. Upon inspection, the reverse ball and kit ball were identical, so Delta must have fixed the problem and not reported it to anyone. Why they said a big hole at the bottom is beyond me. Now I have to return the "reverse" ball. There was a problem with the conversion kit. The difference between hot and cold is about a 3/4 inch arc. You need to let the water warm up completely and then slowly move the knob toward the cold side until you like it. Do not switch from cold to hot as it can become hot immediately. Don't knock on the handle when showering! The upgraded look of the lever compared to the crystal ball is worth the effort and has tremendous visual impact. I just think Delta needs to tweak the kit ball a bit to improve H/C water flow. Your 600 may be different, so you may need to experiment a little. Much luck !
