Bargain vs. Tap***

For attaching wood to concrete pavers. If you used Tap*** screws, you can use these with similar results. The heads didn't come off. There were no problems with refueling, they stick safely. The drill bit isn't the best quality, but there's no real difference between the included Tap*** drill bit and this one. A quarter of the way into the box, the bit is still sharp, but not too blunt. But don't be lethargic, just be careful not to apply undue pressure and try to drill straight into the material. I've taken a few shots in my life, but it's usually my fault. I can be lazy or in a hurry resulting in not being able to drill properly. But as long as you follow the basics of drilling properly, there are rarely any problems. Also, the drill bit is a quarter inch longer than the screw threads. I look at it and then take a piece of blue painter's tape to mark the bit so I can use it as a cheap depth gauge. I use a hammer drill and prefer to use hex sockets as they don't snap. Of course, if you want or need a flush finish, they should be replaced with their Phillips head version. I feel like I'm getting the same quality and finish with these Snug branded closures for less than half the price (home stock comparison). A few personal upgrades would be the clamshell box as the Tupperware style lid is easy to lose. A sharper drill to make drilling in wood easier. But that's personal preference. Very good performance with these snug screws. I recommend them and will be a regular customer. Well done snag. And as always, delivery from Revain is quick and hassle-free. Many Thanks.
