Safety is my problem with gates and gate extensions
This is a good strong gate. I would recommend this if you need to secure a room or door that your child can open. The only thing I would wish for is that the mechanism's handle was made of more durable plastic or metal. It broke after constant daily use but I was able to hold it together with tape. I also recommended that you look away from your little one's hands at the latch release button while my 3 year old figured out how to open the latch.
