KidCo 12 5 Inch Extension Kit Review

I bought two of these for the top and bottom of the stairs. (I also added a Kidco spindle kit and extensions.) It was very easy to set up and the gate itself is very strong. I love how Kidco put silicone pads on the parts that touch the walls - it's nice that my paint is less likely to need a touch up when the gate is down.

This is a good strong gate. I would recommend this if you need to secure a room or door that your child can open. The only thing I would wish for is that the mechanism's handle was made of more durable plastic or metal. It broke after constant daily use but I was able to hold it together with tape. I also recommended that you look away from your little one's hands at the latch release button while my 3 year old figured out how to open the latch.

I ordered two sets of extensions from the seller. One came in an unopened box in brand new condition. The second came in an already opened box with scratches and peeling paint on the gate. I contacted the seller to resolve this issue but received no response. Extension kits work normally with the gate. I am having some issues with the extension kits aligning properly with the gate and as a result the gate does not close as smoothly as without the extension kits. I think it's difficult to get a…
