The product came with a small defect

I ordered two sets of extensions from the seller. One came in an unopened box in brand new condition. The second came in an already opened box with scratches and peeling paint on the gate. I contacted the seller to resolve this issue but received no response. Extension kits work normally with the gate. I am having some issues with the extension kits aligning properly with the gate and as a result the gate does not close as smoothly as without the extension kits. I think it's difficult to get a perfect opening and closing gate when the opening is so big and requires 2 sets of extensions.
