I use this tube headphone amp with Sennheiser 650 headphones and an iPod, iPhone and laptop (and even a Raspberry Pi with an aftermarket audio DAC) and it gives great results. Sound. I listen to both classical and electronic, experimental and rock. It gives classic recordings a clarity I couldn't get with a digital headphone amp, let alone a regular headphone output on these devices. Very soft, warm sound and lots of bass. It has a power supply and given the exposed tubes I wouldn't even attempt to use it as a portable device. I mean you can take it to the beach house but definitely not to the beach.
