In theory these straps are useful for attaching a car cover but I'm not sure I can recommend this product mainly due to the fact that the straps tend to tighten after 5-6 months stretch and wear out. . Now the seller sent me another package for free, but I am sure that the result will be repeated again. This is probably due to external elements. If you live somewhere with warmer weather or where outside factors aren't that big of a factor then this might work well but that's not my case so it's seen significant wear in the time I've had it. If the belts are worn, I would definitely consider replacing them as a strong, sustained gust of wind can cause the car's lid to move sideways (if there is no center bar).
