I have this board on my Pi3B+. The board is poorly documented which GPIO pins are needed for monitoring when the board is in shutdown mode. Shutdown mode can only be initiated with a button on the circuit board or the remote control. You can't shut down from the command line or the GUI and expect the Pi to shut down. My particular board requires two button presses to turn on, this is also undocumented. It doesn't matter whether I use the remote control or the button on the board. Sometimes it goes out, sometimes not. It's very inconsistent, driver or not. About 40% of the time it doesn't respond to the remote and doesn't turn off when you press any button on the board itself, the LED just blinks and nothing happens. I'd love to be able to initiate a Kodi shutdown, but as far as I can tell this board doesn't support that at all. Since there is no information on how to detect or initiate a shutdown of the Pi, it is not possible to get it to work properly except with the pure Raspian driver. The company doesn't respond to their github where the driver is stored, so good luck with support.
