That's what I expected. Lots of parts to collect. and it probably won't be the most intuitive thing in the world. but probably not too difficult. That was more or less true. but the fact that the included 1 page manual only has a chart with a number of details (that doesn't even match what I bought!) is just too bad. However, through trial and error, it was easy enough to come together. Now for strength. Well while putting it together I noticed that one of the main support rods was bent. I thought I might have to return it as the package must have been seriously mishandled. Yes. not as much. I tried to bend it back (expecting that I would have to try very hard or not be able to do it at all) and to my surprise it bent VERY easily. So either I suddenly became Superman or the metal used is weak. But eventually this was collected and straightened out. It looks like it will support a laptop, mixer and microphone receiver, which is pretty much what I need it for. However, the fragility of the stand makes me suspect it will last more than a few months of mobile performance. The time will show.
