Review on US Acrylic Café 20-ounce Lightweight Stackable Beverage Tumblers - Set of 16 Reusable Water Cups in 4 Coastal Colors by Johnny Nguyen

Beautiful colors, lousy durability

These cups first appealed to me because of the variety of colors. We have three teenage boys and not a day goes by that I don't hear, "Did you just drink from my cup?!" Well, those cups made me think, great! Specific colors for each of my villains! I also like that they are made in the USA. Finally, the mugs reminded me of the ones you would find in a pizzeria or burger joint. you know the look Mugs that seem to have stood still for 30 years? So I figured they would be durable. Well, unfortunately, my hopes were not justified. At first we were happy. I liked the colors and the size was good. But they just don't last. On the 3rd day one broke. So far I've had these mugs for four miserable months and I only have nine mugs left. Nine! Given that we threw away seven cups, I wouldn't agree they are unbreakable. In fact, they break pretty easily. Accidentally knocked off the table? cracks. Knocked over a low table (blaming my dog's tail)? cracks. Fall in the sink? Cracked. Now, like I said, I have three teenagers. Accidents happen. But the frequency is so high that I think the product is simply defective. In a few months we broke three times more of these acrylic cups than real glasses in a few YEARS. included a picture of one of the nine remaining mugs (and the only blue ones I have left, by the way). You can see a hairline starting to form below. Shame, the variety of colors and sizes is attractive, but the material is far more fragile than any restaurant-style mug you can imagine.
