This weight distribution hitch is very easy to install and set up. Read the instructions before installing the hitch. There are a few things to measure before adjusting the spring bar preload. When you hitch a trailer, you can correctly adjust the preload on the spring bar. I have a Dodge Cummins 3/4 short bed truck with a 3500 lb truck trailer. Also, I tow an extended 52" hitch with a 2 axle trailer with a trailer of about 5000 pounds. This hitch aligns the truck and trailer and the truck drives so well my wife commented on how good the ride was as she was very worried about how she would be handling herself. This really makes a camper truck and trailer much safer on the road. and on bad roads My truck has greatly changed the way the suspension works and the hitch will not change the load capacity of the truck, but it will shift the weight of the hitch to the front of the truck and onto the trailer. I drive thousands of miles each year and highly recommend using a weight distribution hitch on heavy trucks and trailers.
