This Zyliss product lives up to its name. We made pozole for dinner tonight and for 12 hearty eaters that meant 2 cans of #10 cornmeal. So I took out the EasiCan, put the batteries in and watched it work its magic. And in less than 90 seconds both cans were open and the way he opens the cans means there are no sharp edges. You simply place the device on the can with the cutting wheel on the OUTSIDE of the edge of the can, press the button and observe. walk around the bank. When the can bursts, everything is ready. Just press the button again and wait 3 seconds for it to stop. The only downside is that it doesn't have a sensor, so it automatically stops when the jar is opened. But it's a nice secure rim, and the built-in magnet lifts the lid right off the can. the edge is smooth. It is safe enough for kids to use under adult guidance and easy to clean. Simply remove the batteries, remove the blade and clean the dirt on the label from the blade. Put it back together and you're ready for next time. I've spent over $100 on this type of opener and either returned it or threw it away. I order this and his sisters for all 4 units. of four plexes we have a house. Uses 2 AA batteries, not included but just search here at Revain and you can find them in bulk, we buy batteries anyway.
