Review on 🍢 Blue Donuts 24 Pack 12-Inch Kabob Skewers for Grilling - BBQ Grill Accessories, Stainless Steel by Ahmed Morrison

I see all the rave reviews and wonder if I received defective skewers. We normally use wooden/bamboo skewers, but for environmental reasons we have switched to metal skewers. We've only used them twice. I know stainless steel shouldn't rust (although it can), but my skewers seem to rust. Maybe we should dry our hands? I can't blame the lining for that, because part of the hook is also discolored. The tips also appear to be charred and the black coating is not peeling off (is this normal?). The skewers get very hot and if we place the hooks so they hang over the grill we can't close the lid so I'm not sure how anyone could grab the hooks without getting burned. This isn't a particular problem for us since we use pliers anyway, but thought I'd mention it. I plan on exchanging them rather than returning them because otherwise they seem good skewers and I would like to have the great product that everyone else has described. I'll update this as I get new ones and try them out. Second update: I missed the message they sent me but said they would process a refund. It's been almost a month and I haven't seen him. I will inform you again. Update: The return period has expired, so I'm writing to the seller. The description said there was a two year warranty so I asked for an exchange or replacement. I never received an answer.
