Review on Enhance Your Pickup Truck's Tailgate Experience with DEE ZEE DZ43204 Tailgate Assist Shock by Chad Mills

I gave this 5 stars because the product works well, brand new anyway. I don't really abuse my tailgate so for my truck (2016 F-150) it should last a long time. I would deduct half a star because the T50 torx wrench they send is useless unless you want to crack your knuckles and remove a bolt on your truck. Also, while not that important, the tutorial video skips the adapting the top to your truck bed portion. This assist works damn well and makes lowering the tailgate easier. I took another reviewer's suggestion and bought a can of Plasti-Dip and coated two braces the day before they were put in to give the coating enough time to cure. I bought the right color for my truck and it matched them well. Luckily I live near NAPA (I live in a small rural town) and went there and bought a T50 power head for almost $8 after nearly skinning my knuckles and tearing a bolt off my truck. The tool provided is useless. Even the video crops then crops back when the guy in the video starts using the provided tool to no avail (and ends up using the tool when it crops). I suspect he also used the driver's outlet during the calling card. I believe the product would have cost an additional $3-5 if it had only included a decent power head instead of costing me another 20 minutes and gas to go to the parts store. Otherwise the setup wasn't too bad and I'm not feeling very comfortable.
