The reason I bought the Travel Smart Converter was for a trip to Ireland. I have read the description/specs carefully to make sure it will work with my hair dryer and curling iron. Everything matched, I bought an adapter. What I liked about this product is that it comes with multiple adapters. I used this to charge my phone and camera when I was in Ireland and it worked great. However, when I plugged in my hair dryer, it broke. I waited until I was back in the States to try my dryer again, but it still didn't work. I am very upset that I had to throw away a fairly new product. If you want to charge your phone, this product is for you. If you want to ruin a great little home appliance, then this product is for you!
