: I've upgraded my rating from the original 3 to 4 stars. As stated in my original review, having only one active temperature sensor at a time does not meet my needs. However, the company contacted me shortly after I posted the review and asked if there was anything they could do to resolve my issue. I added a star for the quick response from customer service. ORIGINAL: I bought two of these devices (IBS-TH1) because they had both internal and external sensors. I had an app I needed to check the temperature difference and I thought it would be perfect if both the internal sensor and the external sensor were on the cable. The two devices initially showed a few degrees Fahrenheit difference when I tested them with external sensors. The internal sensors were closer, reading within 1/2 degree Fahrenheit. The application has the ability to calibrate a point (up to 0.1) for each device, both temperature and humidity. Since I was interested in measuring high temperatures, I calibrated the sensor in boiling water. Once both devices were calibrated, they read much more accurately with the probe's sensors. It would be nice to have a two point calibration to ensure range accuracy, but one point seems to work fine for my needs. Although the device contains both internal and external temperature sensors, connecting an external sensor will HOWEVER disable the internal sensor. This means that only one temperature reading can be used at a time. The humidity sensor can be read with any temperature sensor. The devices I received used one AAA battery. I would have rated them 4 stars but deducted a star for an inaccurate description without explaining that only one temperature sensor can be used at a time.
