While this is a great idea and it holds all of my husband's keys and protects his pocket, using it for old car keys has proven dangerous. He had the key in the ignition of his van, and that resulted in the rest of the Key Smart's key holder sticking right out. (sounds like it looks like a knife pulling the blade out) As he was reaching for the shifter, he accidentally touched the end of the Key Smart with the edge of his hand, causing the Key Smart to move up and down turned the key in the ignition while driving down a busy road. It parked the car. It could have killed him. He managed to restart the car but was driving in the middle lane and if he had just slowed down and/or stopped things could have ended in disaster. Luckily he is old enough to be an experienced driver and knew what to do. I would NOT recommend putting car keys on it if it's an old type, not a key fob. This doesn't happen with a key fob as a Key Smart full of other keys will get stuck. It is ideal for work keys, house keys, etc.
