I've used deer whistles before and they work. Remember they will make the deer stop and look at you. Don't scare them off. I noticed that one reviewer stated that half of the whistles don't work while others do. Well, they're packed together in two bags, one is audible, the other is ultrasonic, so obviously people can't hear the ultrasonic. So they all work.
