Review on Wera Kraftform Kompakt Ratcheting Screwdriver by Matt Heringer

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Almost perfect, but overall very good

I've wanted one of these for a long time, ever since I bought it from a friend. It was light, bits were stored in the handle in a way that they were orderly and not just put there like many others. The ratchet was smooth and overall hard to fault. However, after using mine for a few months, I've noticed a few things that make it far from perfect. Ratchet: The ratchet is smooth and great for finishing, but there is some play between wears. Maybe it's just me, but I have a bit of slack, if you don't click all the way left or all the way right, the ratchet can slip. Comfort: It's comfortable for short-term use, doesn't roll when you install it, and is generally good. However, due to the odd grip and hard plastic, your hand will get tired and a little sore after using it all day compared to my little ones. . I have a Milwaukee, Stanley, Craftsman and Klein, no doubt these qualities are good if not better than any I have mentioned but MUCH lighter! The heavier they are, the less often I use them. Conclusion: Although not perfect, I am very satisfied with my purchase. They are almost perfect for screwdrivers and you can add whatever bits you want to the handles, they use standard bits. They are light and comfortable to wear, but not for all day use.
