I got this because it had a thermometer that I use to make coffee in a french press. It's too hot and the coffee is getting too bitter and my stomach hurts. My main issue is that the thermometer is small and difficult to read for my aging eyes, but a person knows where the pointer should be without reading the numbers. It also sticks to the cover when removed. The kettle is spacious except for the lid, which seems too thin. I even thought it was plastic, but it's not. If you need a thermometer, this will do.
