Insufficient Hard Polishing Machine

After sharpening a scraper, the burnisher had deep scratches rendering it unusable; he is too soft. Scrapers are good, but some of them have a distinct curve, making them difficult to file before polishing. There are different gauges, but they come in a cut condition, so you'll need lots of files to clean the edges before sharpening. The instructions were excellent, suggesting that this manufacturer may be making an effort.

Pros

This polishing machine has a simple structure and is specially designed to create burrs on the edges of flat, curved or beveled card scrapers. The hardened, polished HRC 62-64 high carbon steel rod is approximately 3/8" in diameter, making it ideal for finishing the edges of your scrapers without deflection. The hardwood handle provides a comfortable, secure grip and helps provide leverage when depressing the scraper.
