I bought this for my GRP trailer with smooth gel finish. The trailer did not have a rain drainage system over the roll-up windows, so when it rained, water would pour through the windows like a waterfall. I cleaned and wrapped the gelcoat 3 times with paper towels, then 3 times with rubbing alcohol (isopropyl). The self-adhesive strips stick as if welded on. At one point I decided to move a strip, no! It is there. Tips: Work with short sections of glue (10-12cm) and be 100% sure it will hold exactly what you need. I used blue masking tape and a piece of string to guide me. It also helps to have another pair of hands. After 3 heavy showers I can say that everything worked perfectly. No rain on the windows.
