Good quality and great price for Lags. I twist my head here and there, which is usually my fault. If you experience more than 2-5% head rotation, it's best to check your technique before scowling at the manufacturer. Make sure the pilot hole is at least 1/2 inch larger than the screw seat. Some materials may require slightly larger guides. I have installed in standard wood 2x4, 2x6 etc with an impact wrench. My neighbors hate me. If it becomes necessary to tighten or remove these lags I would recommend a ratchet or drill/driver respectively. Continued use of a percussion instrument after the cleat was initially adjusted may have broken it.
