This is a really heavy duty knot and it can be useful for industrial barn doors that hang far from the wall or for a wall that has no wall at all skirting board has. This will not work properly for a typical interior barn door that has the inside hanging 5/16" - 9/16" from the baseboard. The absolute minimum distance between the inside of the door and the baseboard is 1 1/4 inches with this track, so your door won't even hang anywhere near a plumb. Also, the bottom of the track is very long to accommodate thick doors. On a typical 1 3/8" thick interior door, you have 1 1/4" metal brackets sticking out from under the bottom rail and hurting your toes. I have spent a lot of money on my interior barn doors and their tracks, this is not a suitable solution for a floor track. I have metalworking skills and have modified the bracket to work with my typical interior barn doors. This is a thick metal, so you will need power tools for this. I removed the inner roller completely and glued a thick felt furniture backing to the bracket where it attaches to the wall. The inside of the door slides over the felt pad and the door hangs vertically with a slight gap to the panel. I adjust the outer roller to touch the surface of the door and cut off the rest. Remove the metal from the end of the bracket. I rounded it, sanded it, and painted the cut surface black to match the rest of the bracket. The outer roller is installed in the usual manner specified by the seller. Done, smooth, flat, socks in tact.
