I bought this coil in 1999 for a 1997 JGC v8. It works great and gives a quick start. Can't understand the bad reviews. However, I believe I got the value but kept the OEM just in case. Update: This coil has been working on a Jeep for 18 years. In May of this year I had a misfire and the exhaust blew up. I thought I was in an IED. But the silencer looked like a peeled banana. Well, it's time to evaluate the cause. I had exhaust fumes from leftover exhaust, so I figured some spark plugs weren't working. The problem was with the coil and since I kept the OEM I installed it. The problem is solved. So don't rush to change parts until you've checked the coil.
