Review on Original Engine Management 3956 Distributor by David Dortch

Revainrating 4 out of 5

OK might be better for rotors

Has a brass turret on top but stainless steel on the front where it touches the turret. Manufacturers in the US say brass is too expensive to use in ignition parts so using stainless steel with lifeFLAT OUT is a rip off! Brass is everywhere in furniture, jewelry, you name it, should be in the starter, alternator contacts, it's there - cheap! Find European or Asian suppliers who will tell you that the dealer is receiving a message that you will not accept. cheap stainless steel scam, accountant profit hurting your car, expenses!

Pros
  • Brass fittings on some models outperform corroded OE aluminum fittings in long term testing.
Cons
  • So far so good
