Easy. Installed on a 2001 Lexus GS300. About 20 minutes. Unscrewing regular screws takes more time than installing racks. All you need is an original 12mm wrench. Simply unscrew the original screws from the hood and engine compartment and mount. OEM struts have the same ball mount, but it should not be removed and will be very difficult to manage. The hardware included in the kit is simply screwed back into the original holes as with the OEM. The luggage racks are attached like the originals and are adjustable. The beauty of this is that the BOXI setup has clips on either end of the post bushings if you ever need to replace them again and with minimal effort and a small screwdriver, simply lift the clip just enough to pop the post out and replace unnecessarily . Unscrew the screws from the body.
