So, like many others, my first scope was way more advanced than I was ready for. I was like hey I'm smart I can program my VCR and all (I meet myself) so I settled on the 11 inch honey. Needless to say I wasn't ready for this size and caliber scope and would like to start with something more manageable and simple. to study. I ended up attending several astronomical meetings and starting through much exhaustion and very little experience with this particular telescope. It's a great tool for beginners, has good optics, has decent eyepieces and is mostly free of lens defects. Oh yeah, it's also small and easy to carry, which in astronomy I found more important than being big and bulky on my main scope is now a small refractor that I can literally take anywhere and use anytime. Something small has the advantage of being portable, quick to set up and easy to use. I still have my 11-inch Mid Mazzut, but I only take it to big star parties as the whole setup weighs about 250 pounds and takes 90 minutes. setup and conf figure. During that time, my smaller telescope managed to see dozens of celestial objects. Suffice it to say that this little telescope is now my gift for beginners and older astronomers (to be honest I gave this setup mainly to adults over 35, but there were also many children. The most impressive will be you have never seen before, but you'll appreciate its portability and ease of use, especially if you're just starting out!
