Interesting concept

With my son still doing most of my shopping due to the pandemic, I forget to tell him I need things that at the grocery store would encourage me to remind myself I need them. Here's how I did it using plastic bags for storage. I have a vacuum sealer, but I don't want to take it out just for a few things. When I saw it was available I jumped on it. First, I don't understand why things that are supposed to be good for the environment always cost so much more. These bags currently cost 25 cents per bag. This makes this box of 50 bags completely out of reach for regular purchases. The pouches themselves were good and I was able to cook a lot of meat that I bought and then put in the freezer. They seemed to hold as much as "regular" quart-sized zippered bags. Yes I understand they should have the same amount of food as other regular liter bags. If you only have one bag with a different zipper, it can be difficult to carry the amount of groceries you might be used to, especially when trying to store bone-in meat in it. I would like to see how it goes. These bags fall apart what they claim. I think it would be an interesting science project for school kids. We live in a village and most of our garbage is incinerated, so we don't know what's going on at the landfill in our area. I don't intend to compost bags either. I appreciate it. Many Thanks.

Pros
  • 🍎 MULTIFUNCTIONAL | Our bags can be stored in the freezer, making them ideal for leftover storage and meal prep. Designed for all your food organization and storage needs; Store snacks, meat, fresh produce and more. The pouches are not recommended for use in a microwave oven or for storing liquids. Due to their biodegradable nature, they cannot be used for long-term storage (more than 9 months).
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
