Review on A&E Cage Co. 001377 Happy Beaks Soft-Sided Travel Bird Carrier - Green, 14.5 x 10.5 x 7 inches by Erin Jackson

It says "Soft Sider" but is very strong and well made. There is a pad on the bottom that can be removed to flush away bird droppings. Inside is a pole. On the top there is a small handle and a shoulder strap. My little ama parrot has become a legend among vets for its ability to run away. Her previous travel cage was actually a canary, but it served the purpose perfectly. Until she realized she could lift the dining doors and get out. I had to tie them with ties. There was no lock on the door so I had to lock it too. Eventually she figured out how to open the box (I didn't see that, just a consequence) and squeeze through the hole. It happened one day on the way to the vet. She got under my car seat and refused to move! I was traveling and it took me about half an hour to meet her. (The only vet I trust is 45 minutes from my house.) I didn't dare open the car doors for more than a second. I climbed into the back seat as quickly as I could, looked under the driver's seat, and there she was sitting on a rail that the seat moves back and forth along. I couldn't physically reach her, so I very awkwardly climbed into the front seat, drove home, and parked in the garage. At least there she wouldn't be running away into the great unknown. My husband pulled it out and I ordered this travel cage the same day. She looked so disappointed when I first used her! She examined all of this and realized that she could not escape. She looked so offended. I felt sorry for her, but I really didn't need another adventure.
