Purolator oil filters are well made and reliable. If you really want to test the quality of an oil filter, cut it off at the base so you can strip the metal on the outside of a used filter. I used to like Fram. They have the highest quality filter paper of any brand. You also glue the bottom of the corrugated section to the paper bottom. No rolled metal edge, nothing. Of the 4 frames I cut, 2 had the bottom part separated from the side. That is, there was no filtering. The oil just flows through the hole. These Purolator One filters are better on the inside where it matters.
