This is a quality UK travel adapter BUT it will only work if there is space above and below the adapter. We have recently stayed in 11 hotels in the UK and Ireland and this only worked in about a third of them as built in sockets in hotels were often only 2 inches above the table top or bedside table or chair rail preventing full cell insertion . charging cables for phones. A regular phone charger could also often not be used because the charger plugged into the top of this adapter touched a switch built into each outlet, preventing the necessary electrical connection. So it only had one working plug on the outside. Luckily we were able to work around this issue as we also had an external charger which charged both phones a couple of times each and then had to charge overnight. I have attached some photos of the problems described.
