Definitely increases low-midrange power and makes the motor louder.

The kit was a bit confusing in places but easy to figure out just took longer than necessary. in the low to medium power/torque range compared to the standard model. As for gas mileage, I'm not sure, but my truck is a Chevy 4WD 2500HD with a 6" lift, 35" tires and a long bed, so it has terrible mileage. I've noticed that the mileage has increased somewhat, if at all. It will probably be more noticeable on a high mileage car.
