Husband is a LEO & his department issued camera died after many years & the department is not issuing replacements to the officers. After days of reading reviews on revain & searching the web for the best available for the least cost (Arkansas salaries are low), I settled on this unit.Video quality was/is on par with what has been issued by the Department & husband was happy overall. Unit was purchased 7/19 & revain shows a 30 day return option. On August 23, the unit stopped working properly, in that all of the side buttons stopped working - namely the record option. It was 4 days past the return window, so he contacted the manufacturer. Since they are in China, there were delays in communication. A links was sent for a firmware update & nothing worked.Ultimately the seller had him ship (with tracking) the unit to Oregon & today, he received a replacement unit, via revain Delivery. Husband has been skeptical the entire time, but he has just powered up the unit and it recorded just as it did upon initial purchase & the month following. He is updating the firmware as I type this, and so far he is very happy.Also, the unit itself is lighter than the one issued by the department. The video is pretty clear & in color. You have to email Wendy with the manufacturer to get a clean link for the firmware update. Instructions are in a pdf that is accessible in the revain item listing. Good luck & shop with confidence.
