I love the design of this Time Machine backup case. Unfortunately, in this case, the drive turns off regularly. I bought one for me and my son, I thought of my own accord. Moved the drive to a different case, no problems. In this case, put in another drive and had the same problem. One day I was talking to my son in college and I asked him if he backed up his computer and I was informed that it keeps crashing. A new disc was delivered in a case that has been proven to be in good condition. When he got home for the summer he checked the drive in this case on my computer, same problem. It turns off during operation. I have many Startech products and this is the first one that had problems.
