Review on πŸ”Œ Pure Sine Wave BESTEK Travel Adapter Converter: 220V to 110V Voltage Converter with Dual 4.2A Smart USB, Worldwide Plug (White) by David Ross

Handles some issues well

Bought because my toothbrush charger and beard trimmer don't have dual voltage, also I liked the dual USB ports so I could charge multiple devices at the same time. It works well with a few caveats: 2 iPhones can be charged via USB ports but not iPhones and iPads, the device will lock although you can charge 2 iPhones and an iPad if you plug the iPad charger into an outlet most strength. I've used European plugs and found them to work, but the unit doesn't seat properly in those recessed sockets, it can fall out if you're not careful, and if you're using it on trains you'll need to keep an eye on it as it tends to to fall out of place due to vibrations. One more thing - I tried it at home on 110V and it worked, but when I got to Europe I thought it had gone bad as it wouldn't light up. It turns out that it needs to analyze the voltage and change the input setting, which takes about 5 minutes and only once. All in all a useful device and I like that this is a real converter producing a pure sine wave. I will keep him despite the problems now that I know his "personality".
