Incredibly poor quality - avoid

After reading many reviews and falling into the trap of assuming the quality of the product based on its brand name, I purchased this piece. What a big mistake. I am making mission style cherry wood bedroom furniture as a DIY project for my wife. The lower stretcher will have very gently curved arches on 3 sides. I made a template from Baltic birch. Used it to draw arcs on two pieces of cherry wood that were .75" thick and 16.5" long. I used my jigsaw to cut these arcs almost to size leaving only 1/16"-3/16" for the router bit. Insert this attachment into my Bosch EVS1617 router bit to finish the arches and this is where the fun begins. The first arc, the nozzle cut well through the first 40% of the arc, then started twitching a bit and stuck to the wood rather than smooth. remove. So the first arch was complete, with a few bumpy spots that now needed careful polishing. The second arch - everything jerked from the start, did the same thing. So I set this thing up to almost never remove allowances and hope to make multiple passes. About halfway through the cut the bit practically stuck in the wood as if trying to cut through very thick molasses and preventing it from turning. Then he suddenly "grabbed" a tree and smashed a huge piece of wood into two cars! I stopped all work and saw that the drill was blackened and the blades were dull. To recap, this brand new Freud drill bit stayed sharp about 1/3 the distance on a 16.5" piece of 0.75" thick cherry wood and then gradually dulled, eventually resulting in the second short piece of wood ruined what I was trying to cut. Therefore, when writing on wood, it stayed sharp for less time than my #2 pen. my former el-cheapo did this and also hoped that Freud's snippets would live up to its reputation and either offer a superior experience or at least stay sharp for a while. This experience is incredibly disappointing. It would be interesting to see how your support team reacts here.
