I've been using it for a long time and I have to say I'm very impressed. The power consumption of this meter is microscopic! I've started using it to monitor power fluctuations by logging the output over an RS232 cable and even with rechargeable AA batteries it will work for weeks and last a few days after the low battery warning comes on. Turn off the auto shutoff feature, just hold down the select button while turning it on and the settings appear to be saved until the batteries are removed. Remember to turn it off by default, which further reduces power consumption. Sometimes I wish it had a backlight, but more often than not if you can't see the display you probably don't have enough light to poke things with your probes. !The included logging software is very limited so I wrote my own as the log is well documented and I wanted to use the Amiga for data acquisition and processing, but you can use the free UltraDMM on XP and later Windows or QtDMM . on Linux and OSX. I've been tempted to get a fancy Bluetooth incarnation of this meter, but this one works so well I can't justify replacing it.
