This has to be one of the worst product designs I've ever seen. The small screw holding the shield is the same screw that holds the blade in place. When you remove the screen you have to unscrew the screw all the way and most of the time it just pops out of its hole allowing the razor and parts to fall to the floor. This is how it should work. The razor blade slides on the side. It shouldn't be difficult with one screw, especially the one holding the cover in place. I'm only leaving it in because it would be more hassle to get it back than it's worth, but look elsewhere for the scraper and make sure the razor blade slides off the side.
