Review on Dorman OE Solutions 912-104 Hood Release Cable: Ensuring Reliable Opening and Closing by Daniel Oliver

I like this product but I have concerns. I wish it had some plastic rails attaching it to the vehicle and another issue is that it doesn't work well with the replacement grip ends which eliminates the grip breaking issue. I bought both at the same time to avoid problems in the future. This Dorman cable has a very short and square end on the cable after the plastic has been removed. all plastic must be removed. and the shaft needs to have rounded corners to fit, it's also short, it attaches the handle directly to the mount to allow any cable to be pulled. I'll try moving the mount and hopefully get some more room for my fingers behind it, or cut a nice piece of padding. In any case, if the manufacturer sees this, you will not think of making a shaft in the grip. longer maybe round shank for many handle repair kits, thanks
