Broke immediately, nonsense

The handle broke off the first time it was used. The part is barely attached to the wire. Complete garbage. Don't waste your time.

Great value for money hood release cable

The first thing people complain about when the lever breaks easily is that they pull on it too aggressively. This product was installed about 2 months ago and it works great. Be careful when you pull the lever. Common sense dictates that anything you pull too hard will break. Still a legitimate product at a fair price, I recommend installing it on a 2002 Honda Civic.

Good cable, doesn't work well with aftermarket grip replacements.

I like this product but I have concerns. I wish it had some plastic rails attaching it to the vehicle and another issue is that it doesn't work well with the replacement grip ends which eliminates the grip breaking issue. I bought both at the same time to avoid problems in the future. This Dorman cable has a very short and square end on the cable after the plastic has been removed. all plastic must be removed. and the shaft needs to have rounded corners to fit, it's also short, it attaches the…
