Definitely makes something! I'm a gardener and a fan of Marshall's/TJ Maxx. I purchased this item to install drainage in multiple planters. I was able to cut through both terracotta and shinier pottery of various thicknesses. These bits cut perfect, clean holes. I read that they are actually designed for glass; I actually have a few glass jars, but haven't tried cutting them yet. (I'll let you know how things go if I ever decide to take on this project.) I took off a star because it advertised a 1/4 shank size: In fact, shanks vary a lot in size. I was able to use the smallest drill bit with my Wen (a Dremel equivalent rotary tool which I also bought here at Revain) but only after running to the hardware store to buy extra collets, then a keyless chuck and even then just that smallest size worked with my rotary tool (a reviewer here on Revain said they would work with a rotary tool but they don't. I wanted you to advise you to buy this set with the expectation that you would work with your regular Cordless drill will work (it doesn't take much power my drill is only 6 volts and it worked great) I might buy another kit in the future with a wider range of sizes but I would definitely recommend this kit installed With this kit I have been able to create adequate drainage for 3" to 12" pots. When the bits finally wear out I will definitely replace them with the gle replace the set. I am very happy with my purchase. I appreciate this set being available here at Revain as I don't think this type of tool exists anywhere else. (I observe). Thank you!
