Poor quality control and poor execution of simple tile work

The smallest cutter had a bent shank. So instead I used the next size up to drill through the porcelain stoneware. Used water for cooling. After 30 seconds of drilling I had a 3/16 deep hole and all of the "diamond dust" was missing from the main cutting edge - it basically looked like a tiny crown with no teeth. I do not recommend this product at all. Check out the picture attached to this review. it shows the unused bit on the left and the used bit on the right.

Good inexpensive bits

I bought these bits to make several tiered tea services. This was my first attempt at drilling pottery, china and china, so I didn't want to buy anything expensive. They work damn well. I read many reviews about the diamond coating that shows on first use. For me this isn't the case, although I will say you have to use water to keep the racquet cool and that makes a huge difference. I was disappointed they didn't fit my dremel so I had to use a regular drill bit but it worked really well. Theyโ€ฆ

not suitable for fine stoneware

I tried to drill a 5/16" hole in a 5/16" porcelain wall tile but couldn't get through the tile. I drilled at 500 rpm for 5-10 seconds as usual, then lowered the drill into the water and kept it wet while drilling as well. Don't push hard and try to cut the bit. After breaking the tile halfway, I looked at the drill bit and saw that there was no more sand on its underside and it wasn't cutting anymore. the same technique, and he went through another tile from the same batch in less than aโ€ฆ

Install cornice on 3/8 " thick porcelain tile.

It took us 2 people to do our job. One drilled, the other sprayed water to keep the drill bit from overheating. hollow. Gives this does the material have room to move and I think creates less dust? On the other hand, it's harder to get in. Without a sharp tip (which wears out quickly) bits tend to wander. To get around this, we started by holding the bit to one side (20- degree angle). This brought a smile to the china, later combined with a frown from above to form a circle. Once this wasโ€ฆ

Worked on adding drainage holes to ceramic

One of the best purchases I've made in a long time! I have many plants including orchids and bonsai. Recently a squirrel thought my plant shelves were great for climbing and knocked some pots on the floor and broke them. When I went shopping for new pots, I was dismayed to find that the selection available in stores had drastically dwindled since my last search. When I found good pots of the right size, they were mostly indoor pots without a drainage hole. Most plants need to stay outdoors forโ€ฆ

They work! - Hole saws and accessories

Definitely makes something! I'm a gardener and a fan of Marshall's/TJ Maxx. I purchased this item to install drainage in multiple planters. I was able to cut through both terracotta and shinier pottery of various thicknesses. These bits cut perfect, clean holes. I read that they are actually designed for glass; I actually have a few glass jars, but haven't tried cutting them yet. (I'll let you know how things go if I ever decide to take on this project.) I took off a star because it advertisedโ€ฆ

Perfect parts for making glass bottles

so I wanted to post this right after I made it so I don't forget it later. Let me give you a little background about myself: I don't use any tools. Period. BUT as a bored college student who only goes to school two days a week and has too much homework to actually get a job, I wanted a hobby, so I turned to Pinterest for inspiration. I got this to make a glass bottle lamp. I've watched a lot of YouTube videos and read a lot of blogs with instructions on these drills and also read a lot ofโ€ฆ

Cuts ceramics with ease!

== Introduction My seedlings have started flowering and I wanted to transplant some of them into ceramic cups and bowls for display. After buying some nice mugs and bowls, I found that drilling holes in the ceramic material is not easy. It took several hours to drill five holes in the bottom of three cups with a masonry drill. There must be a better and faster way. After some searching on the internet I found out that I need diamond drill bits. A search for cheap diamond core bits on the Revain
