Review on PROWELD Panoramic 180° Large Viewing Screen Auto Darkening Welding Helmet with Side View, True Color, Highest Optical Class 1/1/1/1, 4 Arc Sensor, Variable Welding Shades 9-12/13-15 by Deshaun Fisher

A MUCH better hood than the price suggests.

This helmet feels better right off the bat than any other I've owned. The 1/1/1/1 rating is literally as good as it gets. The observation deck is very large, especially if you turn on the side windows. Adding and adjusting a cheat lens is very easy (once you get inside the welding filter lens). The digital filter works very well. It seems built to add a PAPR system (once I get it and hook it up I'll update this review to reflect my experience with it, although I fully believe it works flawlessly and comfortably) . The upper head protection is good. Living in Phoenix it's hard to get myself to wear a welder's hat this 120*summer so the top cap has saved me quite a few bald spots I'm sure. The large transparent grinding window proves to be very practical just by lifting the welding filter. The headgear is fantastic too - the most adjustable and comfortable of any welding headgear I've owned/used. So far I've only found 2 complaints: First, it's heavy. But it just comes with the territory, given all its characteristics. But secondly, the settings are difficult to access/change. I think this could easily be fixed by adding an extra set of buttons either fully inside or fully outside that do the same thing as the buttons on the filter. However, this comes with an additional cost, so the price will not be that good. I can always add buttons myself if needed. Overall this helmet is amazing and I would not hesitate to buy again and/or recommend it to anyone.
