In total we need to monitor two fridges and two freezers, one in the kitchen and the other in the garage. From time to time members of our family are unable to fully close the doors. We bought both the Accurite product and this product because each product only uses one radio frequency so installing two devices from the same brand will not work properly. This product appears to use a different radio frequency (or encoding/modulation) than Accurite, so I never see any conflicts. This product has a better display than Accurite and is easier to read. The alarm sound is also different from Accurite. The RF sensitivity is sufficient to receive signals from the garage to the kitchen at a distance of about 30 feet and from the wall. Case. A note. Most refrigerators today have stainless steel doors which do not attract the product's feed magnet. You can use the picture hanger on the adjacent wall to hang the piece. Instead, I mounted a mild steel panel slightly smaller than the product on the kitchen wall and painted it the same color as the wall. So it's much easier to line up two devices (Accurite and this one) for the best look, and it's still easy to change batteries.
