We bought this kayak stand to transport 2 8ft kayaks over 250 miles. We mounted and installed J-Racks on our SUV. So far everything has been going well. Our trip will take place over the next two weeks and we will update the review when it is complete. However, I wanted to make an extra effort to complement the customer service we received. The shelves arrived with a card that gave us a phone number to use if we had questions. We had questions about ratchet straps. I called the number provided and received a message that the call was outside of business hours. I left a message Shortly thereafter, my wife also called. A few minutes later she spoke to a living person. After a pleasant chat, the customer service representative took full care of us and our questions. I later received a voicemail from customer service stating that they had received my first voicemail but thought they had resolved the issue on a later call with my wife. They wanted to make sure we were taken care of. I was completely blown away by the prompt, pleasant and efficient customer service and thoughtful follow up. I will report on the results of the kayak stands once our trip is over, but I wanted to immediately report on a very important and impressive aspect of our deal. UPDATE: Put 2 8ft kayaks on stands and rode 250 miles. Came back two days later. The racks secured the kayaks and were exactly what we wanted to carry our kayaks. We had no problems.
