Review on Raspberry Pi 7-inch Touch Screen Display by Elizabeth Morton

Revainrating 3 out of 5

No instructions, connector broken but acceptable Display

I bought this to use with my Ender 3V2 3D printer but mainly as an Octodash/Octoscreen display to control my 3D printer since after After installing the standard clipper, the display on the printer no longer works. First, there are no instructions, so go online and find an installation video. Another problem I had was that the ribbon cable connector was defective and so I had to modify it with parts I took from another connector to fix it. Since the official Raspberry display drivers are part of the Raspberry Pi operating system, you may need to update them. To update your raspberry pi operating system, in ssh (default username is pi and default password is raspberry) use the following two commands: sudo apt updatesudo apt full-upgrade. After the update, go to the raspberry pi configuration menu to configure how the raspberry pi starts with the display. To get to the configuration menu, use this command in sshsudo raspi-config. Once you get the installation through, the screen is decent. The touchscreen is responsive and the screen is quite bright. The viewing angles aren't wide, but they are.
