I love K&N products and am disappointed they don't fit my car. I have a 2016 Jeep Compass Sport, 2.4L 4x4 automatic transmission. There are 3 ribs on the bottom that hold the factory foam filter in place. When I cut the plastic out of the tray, "it might fit". Since I don't want to risk cracking the tray, this has to be done in the store. It could also be a stock coding error where everyone assumed a 2016 filter would fit since it was the same length, height and diameter. It just isn't flexible as it's rubber and not foam. I'll wait and see what this seller does with the return
